Livi accept new bids for Davidson and Mackay

Off to Perth

LiviNews is aware that Livingston have accepted two separate bids totalling £50,000 for Murray Davidson and Dave Mackay from SPL new boys St Johnstone.

Davidson is understood to have agreed terms with the Perth outfit and it’s likely that his departure will be officially announced within the next couple of days.

Mackay however has stated his intentions to stay put at Almondvale until all his wage arrears have been fully paid.

Mackay was quoted today in the Daily Record as saying “I’m taking my time to think about any move. I’m in no hurry and I’m not going anywhere until I’ve been paid.”

The two players were last week the target of First Division rivals Dundee whilst Motherwell were keen to take Davidson on his own.

In other news, Angelo Massone has been cited to appear at court in Edinburgh this coming Friday.

Massone’s latest personal appearance in front of a Sheriff is not thought to be connected with his ‘drunk in charge’ case that is currently on hold until the end of July.

Rather, it’s believed that this particular summons is for a totally separate drink driving incident that relates to an alleged offence committed by Massone last December.

Hey, there are 2 stands available too. Shall we start the bidding at, say £7.50?

  7. Great signing for the saints if it happens.

Reckon Griffiths will go the same way maybe even to the same club.

  8. It’s a done deal. Both players have signed for a combined fee of 45k. You can take that to the bank.

  9. Good news for us if it’s true.
Although i was convinced they were going to dundee for stupid money.

I doubt Griffiths would come to us though, I assume his sights are set a bit higher, ie. Established SPL team or England.
