Italian exodus continues….
LiviNews understands that Tomasso Angelini has cleared his desk and walked out of Almondvale after a bust up with Livi chairman Angelo Massone.
Angelini, Davie Hays son in law, has worked closely with Massone during this past year and his resignation will come as a body blow to the already beleaguered Massone.
Angelini’s departure goes some way towards explaining Davie Hays resignation earlier this week. Hay had claimed that due to other commitments he wouldn’t be able to 100% commit himself to the club, but with there no longer being a family tie Hay saw his chance to take a step backwards, possibly to try and put as much distance between him and Livingston as possible before the club goes belly up.
There has been much discussion as to just what role Angelini had during his time at Livingston.
Initially the official club website had him named as a member of the board, although his name was quickly removed, co-incidentally when it was noticed on popular Livi fans website www.livilions.co.uk that a FIFA registered agent couldn’t hold such a position at a football club.
On one occasion he memorably showed his lack of class by holding a press conference in the Carling Italia bar whilst eating his lunch.
In the absense of Angelo Massone he answered reporters questions with his mouth full of food.
Angelini is just the latest in a line of Italians to arrive and then depart Almondvale this season, with Roberto Landi, his assistant, his goalkeeping coach as well as joint head of Catering and head Chef Daniele Brambilla and Livingston’s fitness coach Nazareno Salvatori all having exited stage left.
At least Massone can still call on the services of fellow countryman and head waiter Mino to bring his daily cappuchino as he reads the increasing pile of press stories of impending doom at Almondvale caused by his mishandling of the clubs financial affairs.

Good riddance to bad rubbish if you ask me! He was certainly a shady character. Glad Hay is away too.

Best news I’ve heard from Almondvale in a while. Only a couple or three more to go

I was just an ordinary fan not involved in supporters politics & I never trusted that guy since his arrival at Almondvale. In my opinion he looked well shady

I’d like to know how much that shyster has taken in wages this past year. Someone should report him to the authorities!

He always looked shifty to me.

Ah, that explains Davie Hay’s sudden departure last week.
Seems like Massone must have lost a few friendships in this little “project” venture.

He is a character that has long fascinated me. What was his supposed area of expertise? Did he have one? Should he, as a FIFA registered agent, have ever been at the club in any capacity at all?
